Chun-yu Liu (Clare) is a visual artist working with moving image with a record of international exhibitions, screenings and conference presentations. Generously funded by the Vice-Chancellor Scholarship, she is currently undertaking her practice-based doctoral research on reinterpreting British chinoiserie at Manchester School of Art, Manchester Metropolitan University. Originally she was trained to be an abstract painter and has been exploring the Chinese diaspora based on her familial experience in her practice as a video artist.
