Besides working on his practice-based PhD project, entitled ‘Between Formal Structure, the Real, and the Moving Body: Searching for Affective Significance in Film Performance’, Pavel is an independent filmmaker, has written and directed several dramas and experimental projects, has worked as a freelance cinematographer in London, and as a visiting lecturer in film at the University of Westminster. He holds a first class Bachelor’s degree in Film and Television Production from Westminster University, and a Master’s degree in Film Aesthetics from Magdalen College, University of Oxford.
